The weekend of weddings started off on a humid Friday for Ben and Ella’s ceremony at the Post Office Hotel in Coburg.

I’ve done lots of same sex wedding and LGBTQ ceremonies. None have been as audacious as the one I did for Shamus and Tim.

Wedding season is upon us and I’ve been as busy as a parole officer in Narre Warren.

But despite the frenzy of the past month, I’d been looking forward to Mel and Eva’s wedding for some time.

There’s been many wars in our time. None, however, have been as devastating as the one between Melbourne’s north and south - otherwise known as the ‘cardigan wars.’

Georgie and Alan have life worked out. Clocked. Perfect relationship – tick. Perfect house – tick. Dirty Dot as their Mum / Mum-in-law – tick.

My weekend of weddings kicked off on Friday night with Pat, Adriana and the second biggest cannoli cake I’ve ever seen.

It’s been a big month.
