Confused about how much a celebrant costs? You ain’t alone.
There is a MASSIVE variance in fees from celebrant to celebrant. A lot of part-time (or hobby) celebrants will charge far less. Often around the $800 to $900 mark. Those who do it full-time will charge quite a bit more.
Personally, in the celebrant world, you get what you pay for. But don’t let price be the determining factor. There’s a number of questions you should ask:
Do they have a good PA and mic (that’s a big one)?
What are their reviews like?
Do they have an example of one of their scripts of their ceremony?
Do they offer Pimp My Celebrant? Well, probably not. I think I’m the only that offers that.
How much do I charge?
It’s a good question (thanks for asking). I provide a number of services, all of which are listed below. Some include prices. Others don’t. Why? Because there are many, many factors at play i.e. the time of ceremony, the location, that date etc.
For example; a wedding in winter is going to be a fair bit cheaper than one in the middle of March.
But don’t worry, if the price isn’t there, get in touch and I’ll get back to you pretty much right away. I do this full time so I have LOTS of time on my hands during the week. I’ve rewatched The Sopranos maybe 15 times.

MY CELEBRANT BUDDY PRICE
My Celebrant Buddy is a service that lets you choose EXACTLY who you want to be your celebrant. It could be your best friend, your cousin from England, even your Grade 2 Maths teacher. They don’t have to get their licence or spend a single thing. I do all the legal requirements and support them in creating an awesome ceremony.

REGISTER MARRIAGE (PAPERWORK ONLY)
Maybe you wanna skip the ceremony and just get the legal docs signed and sent. That’s cool. I offer that, too. It’s a cheap wedding alternative to the Melbourne Marriage Registry. I’m happy to come to you and we can sort it all out at a cafe, a bar, even your living room.

Pimp My Celebrant is a service that lets you choose exactly what you want me to wear for your ceremony. To be honest I’m not sure why I included it in the prices section cos it’s free AF. And super fun, too :)

WEDDING CEREMONIES (A Stand-UP CELEBRANT)
My main service. And probably my most commonly asked question. Unfortunately it’s not the easiest one to provide straight-up due to the following factors; date, time of day, locations, style of ceremony. And that’s just naming a few.
